RCIA for Children
This is a team oriented ministry of evangelization of catechesis which aims to fulfill the directives of the Second Vatican Council for the initiation of adults adapted for older children (ages 7 and up) who have not been baptized into the Roman Catholic faith. Sessions involve faith sharing with respect for the traditions brought by participants, formal catechesis, and liturgical celebration.
At times, older children who were baptized but were not enrolled in a religious education program are included into the program in order to give them additional formation and instruction.
Adult Leaders are needed to guide the RCIA Sessions using the materials provided along with our DRE Madelon.
Youth attend their "Grade Level" Faith Formation class with their peers on Sunday and then gather with other youth new to the Church for RCIA where they can "catch up" on things, ask questions that they felt too awkward to ask in class and in other ways be formed and prepared for the sacraments.
